Washington summit—
On 24 September President Trump and President Xi are in the same room. We are asking them to agree one thing: keep the AI that cures cancer, never build the AI that replaces us. Two signatures. One afternoon.

One meeting, two possible endings
Both sides give up the one thing neither of them wants, and keep the prosperity both do want.
What they would be signing
This is not a pause on AI. Medicine, energy, manufacturing and defence AI continue. What stops is the one race neither government can win: the sprint to build a system more capable than humanity at everything.
No superintelligence race. Prohibited until there is scientific consensus it can be built safely and controllably, and public buy-in to proceed — language already signed by more than seventy thousand people, including five Nobel laureates.
A hard ceiling on the compute in any single frontier training run. Above 1026 FLOP prohibited, above 1025 declared and monitored, plus a registry of every cluster able to exceed it. Europe already uses the lower line. Nobody has set the upper one — this is America setting it, and China accepting it.
Both sides inspect, both sides are inspected. Chip-level tracking, declared data centres, mutual inspection. Neither side has to trust the other — the mechanism is already drafted.
Applied AI is protected: drug discovery, fusion and grid research, weather, logistics, education. A ceiling on one thing, not a brake on progress — lawmakers in both parties have already moved in this direction.
Thresholds like these already exist in regulation. What is new is that both sides accept the same one, and both sides can check.
What to do before the 24th
Your name joins a public record of citizens who asked for this Trump-Xi AI Deal. We can’t make them read it. We can make it impossible to say nobody asked.
Your email is not used for anything else.
One sentence, already written. Send it before 24 September.
“Put the Trump-Xi AI Deal on the table when President Xi visits President Trump on 24 September: no superintelligence race, verified on both sides, with other kinds of AI left to future discussions.”
This is a non-profit effort, by a volunteer team. No ads, no budget. This only reaches our leaders if it spreads organically.
